Track™ v6.0
Overview
Managing contract costs and contractor performance is critical; you can't afford
to make mistakes in this difficult cost environment. Contracting strategies – T&M, Lump Sum, Unit Price or all three simultaneously – are driven by market forces beyond your control. You can’t get control project sucess without the right tools, starting with Track software.
Track v6.0 solves contract cost control challenges faced by construction, maintenance and turnaround managers. Track software delivers control and cost forecasting power that is unmatched anywhere in the industry. Virtually every major U.S. refiner uses Track every day, 365 days a year. The best project decisions are made by those with accurate, complete, real-time cost information at their fingertips.
Global Impact

Automated contract compliance – the Track Process
Key contract elements like labor, equipment, and material rates and associated terms and conditions are maintained in Track. As contractor labor and equipment enter and exit the job site throughout the day, Track knows who they are and how to calculate their time. Track uses all these pieces to calculate net-billable contract labor, equipment and materials hours and costs. Original POs, WOs, WBS elements and updates are streamed to Track from ERP and CMMS systems. Accurate hours and costs are then allocated to PO/WO/WBS combinations. The final step is review and approval by project managers. These real-time project and activity hours and costs feed Track’s Project Cost Forecasting (PCF) module. Up-to-date, accurate estimates using actual hours and costs will keep your projects on track.
Hard Dollar Benefits
Since the mid-1990s, our customers have reduced contract costs 10–15% through Track’s automated contract compliance. You will too;
we guarantee it. On average, Track customers achieve investment payback within three months. |
Information = Control
Unplanned overtime, equipment and materials charges and per diem costs can sink the best estimates and schedules. Track’s real-time labor cost calculations, hourly/daily/weekly/monthly equipment rate controls, and iron-clad per diem control provides unparalleled cost awareness before things get out of hand. |
Visibility
Using real-time information from your plant’s access control system plus long-range active tag RF/ID labor and equipment monitoring, Track v6.0 delivers real-time visibility into on-site resources. Track always knows the answers to: “How many total contractors, by craft, do we have on-site right now?” Or “Do we have the right labor and equipment here to complete today’s scheduled work?” |
